Steve Ross



Steve Ross is a Principal at ClearBridge Compensation Group with ten years of experience, focusing on all aspects of executive compensation including pay levels, performance measurement, and incentive plan design. Steve has significant experience providing project management and analytical support for executive compensation reviews of companies in a wide variety of industries.

Steve’s technical knowledge and experience include assessing executive and director compensation practices through benchmarking, evaluating pay-for-performance relationships, and analyzing incentive plan performance metrics in support of business priorities and the creation of long-term value. His client experience includes working with publicly-traded and privately-held companies in a variety of special circumstances such as M&A, IPOs, spin-offs, and restructurings.

Steve regularly researches and monitors evolving market trends in executive compensation in light of regulatory reforms and shareholder influence.

Prior to joining ClearBridge, Steve was an Actuarial Associate at Mercer specializing in retirement consulting and other financial services. Steve holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Economics from Rutgers University.

Outside of the office, Steve is most likely playing the drums, which is one of the few things he’s been doing longer than providing advice on executive compensation.
